Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of witchlog.com ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

witchlog provides an AI conversation companion that listens with empathy and automatically archives your emotional journey into a private diary. The Service is a wellness and self-reflection tool.

2. Important: not medical advice

The Service does not provide medical, psychiatric, or psychological diagnosis, treatment, or advice. AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate. Never disregard professional advice because of something the AI said. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of self-harm, contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting support; this permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• The free plan includes a limited number of mentor messages per day.
• Paid memberships are billed as subscriptions (monthly or yearly) through our payment provider and merchant of record, Paddle.com.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Prices may change; we will notify you before a change affects an active subscription.
• Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service to violate any law, or to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Do not attempt to breach, probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Do not resell access or scrape content.

6. Your content

You own the content you write. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the Service (storing, encrypting, processing through AI providers to generate responses). We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice for paid features.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the seat of the Service operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
